Dracula (Adam Sandler) has protected his daughter Mavis (Selena Gomez) her entire life from the horror that is humans and the outside. But now that’s she’s 118 she wants to see what’s out there and spread her wings. Drac does everything to keep her from leaving, but he can’t stop Jonathan (Andy Samberg) from accidentally finding the hotel and falling in love with Mavis no matter how hard he tries!
5/5 I LOVE this movie! I think Count Dracula is one of Adam Sandler’s best roles. Hotel Transylvania is a touching and humorous story about a father adjusting to his daughter growing up, and that humans aren’t the monsters he feared. The animation is tons of fun as well!
Fun Fact: Selena Gomez wasn’t the first choice for Mavis. Miley Cyrus had the role first.
I think Selena was the better choice.

The Drac Pack is back. This time around, Johnny and Mavis get married and start a family. Now it’s a waiting game to see if Dennis is part Vampire like mom or all human like dad. Fangs can develop up until the age of 5 and time is running out! Drac is desperate and tries anything to get Dennis’s fangs to come out in time before Johnny and Mavis can make their decision to move away permanent! Even if it means enlisting his dad, Vlad (Mel Brooks) to scare the fangs out of Dennis.
Hotel Transylvania 2 is almost as great as the original but not quite. Same cast. Same comedy. And same great cartoon style animation. There’s no Sequel Slump for this franchise. This movie deals with themes of overcoming prejudice and accepting people for who they are.

Drac is lonely, but is convinced you can only “zing” once. His friends convince him to try dating apps. Mavis catches him. Not wanting her to know what he’s up to, he acts like he’s contacting maid service.
Thinking he’s stressed, Mavis arranges for the entire Dracula family to take a much needed cruise vacation. A cruise designed specifically for monsters and their destruction. While onboard, he meets Captain Erika (Katheryn Hahn) and it’s love at first sight. For him. For her, it’s a chance to make her great-grandfather Vanhelsing’s (Jim Gaffigan) long-held dream of killing Dracula come true. And for some reason or other, someone thought it’d be a good idea to cast Joe Jonas as a singing octopus that can be mind controlled by music. Not that I’m complaining about the casting choice. ♥️ But even for Hotel Transylvania, I’ve always thought that story decision a little odd. It’s growing on me with each rewatch.
Overall, Hotel Transylvania 3’s a cute story about love conquering all.Same great cast, humor, and animation. I can’t wait for the next one!
