Everyone’s familiar with the story of Robin Hood. A tail about a legendary outlaw who’s a bit of a fox who steals from the rich to give to the poor. And winds up with the sexy vixen that is Maid Marion in the end. Calm down, Mom. It’s the rated G Disney movie. But you and I both know I make it sound as bad as possible.
It’s one of my all-time favorite Disney movies, and in my opinion, one of their most underrated movies. I miss the 2D animated style the studio was best known for. I hope the rumors are true and they bring it back someday soon. Not only is the animation great, there’s some catchy country tunes as well! Technically not a Valentine’s movie, but Robin and Marion’s love story is one of my favorites that Disney adapted so I’m including it. Some of the voices will be familiar like Phil Harris who was typecast as Little John after playing Baloo in Jungle Book or Pat Buttram as the Sherriff of Nottingham who was best known as Mr. Haney in Green Acres. It’s fun. It’s a classic. They don’t make them like this anymore! Stream it now on Disney Plus.
